  • Listening to “Strange Fruit” today…..

    When I have used this song in my courses, my young African-American students immediately recognized it.  I found myself listening to “Strange Fruit” today and thinking of one unarmed young man, shot for walking while black in a country that systematically fails to control access to guns.
